Creative World is an innovative program where we combine Emergent Curriculum with strong aspects of the STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) based approach to provide flexible and progressive learning activities that nurture curiosity, exploration and experimentation.
Our positive and caring environment is one that is inclusive, empowering and focuses on a participatory community way of thinking; where children are viewed as competent and capable inventors. Emphasis is put on relationship building as learning happens within the context of these interactions.
Field trips are an integral part of the program. They provide children with real world experiences that cannot be duplicated in the classroom. They allow for enriching children’s experiences of the community; the services, activities, and cultural establishments they can access. Their learning becomes multigenerational, multicultural and contextual. They become connected in ways that will help them build self-esteem and become more accepting towards what may not be familiar.
